Politics of divination
On 14 May 2018 in Amsterdam, former NECSUS editorial board member Patricia Pisters moderates a presentation of the new book The Politics of Divination by Joshua Ramey, which analyses the persistence of the neoliberal hegemony in spite of its disastrous effects upon labor, capital, ecology, and society. Ramey will be present to introduce his book, in which he argues that part of neoliberalism’s persistence has to do with the archaic and obscure political theology upon which much of its discourse is founded. The book presentation is followed by responses from Amir Vudka and Joyce Goggin. Admission to the program is free. You can register through the website of the event venue, SPUI25.
