From 11-12 September 2020, the University of Kansas and the Birkbeck University of London will be co-hosting the live online conference ‘Contours of Film Festivals Research and Methodologies’. Combining pre-recorded content and live panel discussions, the conference aims to both orient current methodologies and practices in film festival research as well as explore directions for future research. The three live panels will focus on “Methodologies in Film Festival Research”, “Film Festivals Practice” and “Directions in Film Festivals Research”, with confirmed panelists including Dina Iordanova (University of St Andrews), Juana Suarez (NYU MIAP) as well as our editorial board member Skadi Loist (Film University Babelsberg) and festival review section editor Marijke de Valck (Utrecht University). More information and the link to registration can be found here.
