Virtual Research Colloquium – ‘Arts, Medium and Moving Images’

From February to June 2021, the theme group Arts, Medium and Moving Images at the University of Groningen will be hosting a monthly virtual research colloquium on different aspects of production, aesthetics and reception of audiovisual screen media. Taking place online via Zoom, lectures by both local and international scholars will explore social, technological and artistic developments in the field of media studies. The upcoming lecture on March 11 will be given by Jaap Verheul (King’s College) on “The Cultural Life of James Bond”, followed by presentations by Vivian Sobchack, Kevin B. Lee (Merz Akademie) and Julian Hanich (UG). More information on the lectures can be found here.
