Virtual Conference – ‘Trump, Television and the Media: From Drama to Fake News to Tweetstorms’
On 30 October 2020, the London Metropolitan University will be hosting the virtual conference “Trump, Television and the Media: From Drama to Fake News to Tweetstorms”. Considered one of the most media-driven and media-critiqued presidencies in American history, the virtual conference explores the influence of the media on the Trump presidency – and vice versa. For an interdisciplinary discussion of the confluence of Trump and the media, the conference organizers still accept proposals (max. 300 words) from a variety of fields until July 29. The keynote will be given by James Poniewozik, Chief TV Critic for the New York Times and author of Audience of One: Donald Trump, Television, and the Fracturing of America. More information on the conference can be found here.
