The Emergence of Film Culture wins award
The anthology The Emergence of Film Culture: Knowledge Production, Institution Building, and the Fate of the Avant-Garde in Europe, 1919-1945 was awarded the Premio Limina for best film studies book. This anthology of of essays was edited by NECSUS editor Malte Hagener and included contributions by NECSUS editors Greg de Cuir Jr and Francesco Pitassio. Additional contributors included Yvonne Zimmermann, Tom Gunning, and Ian Christie, among others. The Premio Limina is presented by FilmForum Udine/Gorizia. The Emergence of Film Culture was published by Berghahn Books.
