Symposium – ‘Distorted Identities/New Dilemmas’
On 16 March 2021, the Artistic Research Group at Kristiania University College in Oslo, Norway, will be hosting an online symposium dedicated to artistic research. Structured around the theme ‘Distorted Identities/New Dilemmas’, the symposium assesses how artistic expressions can reflect on the current debates surrounding the explorations of personal and societal identities. With the aim to explore interdisciplinary approaches to artistic research in existing institutional structures, the organizers are inviting contributions from artists, artistic researchers and academics from the fields of (but not limited to) film, theatre, music, dance, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, social sciences, technology and computer sciences, media-studies, and pedagogy. Abstracts (100 words) for 20 minute presentations to be held at the symposium can be submitted via e-mail to arak@kristiania.no until 1 February 2021. In addition to traditional formats, the symposium also invites performances, posters and installations. The call for contributions can be found here.
