Seminar Series – ‘CAMRI’
The Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI) at the University of Westminster continues its exploration of the role of communication in the context of social and media transformations with a new series of research seminars. The first talk – given by Gavin Mueller (University of Amsterdam) online on 6 October 2021 – is based on the book “Breaking Things at Work”, in which the author suggests an innovative rethinking of labour and machines. Following sessions include a seminar by Matthew Flisfeder (University of Winnipeg) on “Algorithmic Desire and the Ideology of Twenty-First Century Capitalism”, an exploration of the question “Is AI good for the planet?” by Benedetta Brevini (University of Sydney) and a talk by Taina Bucher (University of Oslo) on “Facebook”More information and the link to registration can be found here.
