Screen Studies Conference 2013

A preliminary program for the 2013 Screen Studies Conference has been circulated to accepted presenters. In the panel Cosmopolitan Circuits: The Influence of Film Festivals on Global Film Circulation, NECSUS film festival review section editors Marijke de Valck and Skadi Loist of the Film Festival Research Network will present papers. De Valck delivers a paper titled ‘Circulation and promotion of alternative filmmaking through film festivals’ while Loist delivers a paper titled ‘Exchange networks: The international film festival circuit and global film circulation’. NECSUS editorial board member Dorota Ostrowska will present the paper ‘Cannes Cinefondation: International film festivals as producers of world cinema’. The 2013 Screen Studies Conference will be held in Glasgow from 28-30 June.
