Filming for the Future

NECSUS editor Patricia Pisters has published a book titled Filming for the Future: The Work of Louis van Gasteren. This is the first monograph on the filmmaker to be published in English. The promotion of the book was held on 22 November 2015 in Amsterdam at the cultural center Paradiso and included the presence of the artist himself as well as a brief program of his short films. The book is published by Amsterdam University Press as part of the series Framing Film, which is dedicated to theoretical and analytical studies in restoration, collection, archival, and exhibition practices in line with the existing archive of EYE Filmmuseum.
