Conference – ‘Postcolonial Italian Cinema’
From 16-17 September 2021, the Sapienza Università di Roma, Italy, will be hosting the international conference ‘Postcolonial Italian Cinema’. Aimed towards a reconsideration of postcolonial Italian Cinema in film and history, the conference – organized by Damiano Garofalo (Sapienza, Rome) and Luca Peretti (Warwick, United Kingdom) – will synthesise multiple points of view into a coherent discourse. Structured around 20-minute presentations in English and Italian, the conference will (if possible) take place in person and will be livestreamed. Following the two-day conference, the University of Warwick will continue the theme with online roundtable discussions on 1 October 2021. Abstracts for the Rome part of the conference (150-200 words) can be submitted until 10 April 2021. More information on the conference can be found here.
