Conference – ‘Digital Ecologies 2022’

From 28-29 July 2022, the University of Bonn, Germany, will be hosting the ‘Digital Ecologies 2022’ conference as a two-day hybrid event – with both in-person and online attendance possible.Organized around the theme “Digital Ecologies in Practice”, the conference encourages scholars and practitioners to explore digital technologies, approaches and methods to engage with the non-human world. The keynote will be given by the interdisciplinary experience design collective Polymorf, who will exhibit their  award-winning collective and immersive VR experience “Symbiosis” for conference participants. Abstracts (250 words) for 15 minute presentations and 5 minute lightning talks to be held at the conference can be submitted via e-mail to team@digicologies.com until 15 April 2022. Suggested themes include innovative digital methods for sensing, representing, and studying environments, ​​speculative design for more-than-human worlds and digital ecologies in virtual and augmented realities.
