On 24 September 2020, the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism at Charles University, Prague, will be hosting the conference “Challenges of Journalism in 21. Century – Automated Journalism and AI Journalism”. From simple templates to automated content production, from algorithms to the detection of fake news: How does the rise of artificial intelligence change journalism? Focused on the role of artificial intelligence in everyday media practices, the conference addresses four different yet interconnected themes: newsgathering, news production, news distribution and AI ethics. Proposals (300-500 words) interrogating these themes can be submitted until July 31. More information on the conference can be found here.
